The LNS-1SW Lunis was designed as a stereotypical main battle tank. Mounting a single large primary weapon and an assortment of supporting weapons, this vehicle is a favorite among commanders who can appreciate its basic capabilities.
The Lunis mounts a large, single Gauss Rifle as its primary armament. This weapon's range and power combine to terrorize any units that come under fire, even Heavy- and Assault-class 'Mechs. For closer-in work it mounts a single ER Medium Laser and 2 6-tube SRM systems, which even wtihout the main weapon do pose a threat to any Light 'Mechs that may get within range. It rounds out its weapons compliment with 2 Vehicle Flamers which provide excellent anti-infantry capabilities but which can also be filled with fire-retardent chemicals if needed by a civil defense unit. |
