Overview:
With the loss of there Sudeten production plant, the DSC
Armory saw that past mistakes could have been avoided.
First was the complete lack of adequte deffensive force
stationed at the plant. With barely a company in strength
plus minimal deffensive structures the plant could not have
been exspected to repell much more than a rugged bunch
of pirates, let alone Clan invasion.
With this in mind, the new production facility was
determind to have a considerably larger deffense force.
First on the list was a mech capable of holding a deffesive
line like no other. Going back to a previously scrapped
prototyp design the engeniers reworked blue prints from a
design originaly commisiond by Comstar. Some
concessions had to be made due to lack of major
components only avalable at high cost from other
corporations. The original mech design was one of
offensive intent, what the developers turned it into was
one of the most fearce deffensive mechs in production.

Capabilities:
The Hector was developed around the concept of holding
many opponents at bay. Its wide variety of weapon
systems alows it to operate in most any typ of situation.
The two DSC Blue bolt PPC's arayed in the mechs Right
arm and torso, give it considerable punch at range. While
also carrying a Shigunga Lrm15 rack in the Right torso,
the mech can do considerable damage before bringing its
Armstrong Class-B LB10-X Autocannon into play.
This impressive aray of ranged weaponry is acompanied
by a Guided Technologies Streak Srm6. Backing up the
short ranged missles are a trio of lasers, one Divers Optics
Exstended Range Medium laser and two Tronel XII
Medium pulse lasers.
Together with the seventeen tons of DSC standard armor
that give the mech outstanding lasting power in any
situation. All this built onto the Endo Steele chassis and
comeing in under 10million C-bills has made the
development team at DSC Armory's Proud to call the
Hector one of there best designs to ever roll off the
assembly lines.

Deployment:
Currently two productions runs have been made of the
Hector. Three of the impressive mechs are currently
stationed on garrison duty at the Keystone plant for the
DSC armory. A total of six Hectors serve in the Lyran
heavy lances, and two of the mechs have been
commisioned by Comstar for ComGuard division379 to
garision the HPG station on Carver V.

Battle History:
The Hector has been involved with many minor
skirmishes, but has not been given a proper blooding. To
date not one has ever fallen in battle.
