Created by Defiance industries, the Desert Eagle was built primarily to function in warmer battlefields, hence its name.   Although not to impresive, it scored notable points on its early testing, especially in heated environments.   The chassis employes a number of improved designs, such as new cockpit stabalization system allowing the pilot to control the mech and view the battlefield with greater ease.   Adding to its heat disipative advantage is a specalized coolant distribution system, giving it a more efficiant flowage of coolant to flush systems and its heat sinks, furthereing its ability to withstand exteem heat.   The LRM 10 launchers are built with 18 tubes, allowing it to rapidly fire continuous volleys, because the tubes alternate reloading and firing.   It also is covered in a decent amount of protective layer of ArcShield V model XX armor.     Its main weapons, twin Rotary Autocannon, generate little heat and have a decant range.   The mech also has thick armor, except for on its back, emphasising its need for cover from other team-mates to make it an effective design.  


This mech's primary weapons are two Rotary Autocannons, which are best employed at a medium range.   Ading to its effective range are a pair of shoulder-mounted LRM-10 launchers, and if an enemy should get too close ER small lasers are added to its offensive capability.   This mech would work best in a team-support role, adding its ranged firepower to the effort of other mechs as well.

Battle History:

The DST-90 was used primarily by Victor's supply-starved forces during the FedCom civil war.   Even then it and its variants saw little service.  


One of the Destert eagles variants drops the RAC-5s and removes the small lasers in favor of two Mauser-F66   light gauss rifles.   The LRM's remain.

Notable 'Mechs & MechWarriors:

The pilot to most effectively employ the Desert Eagly was Lt. Tim Duncan of Victor's allied forces.   He honorably scored 3 kills and 1 assist at Victor's defeat at the Sallsbury Plains on York in 3064.


Out of the 5 DST-90's that went into service in Victor's allied forces 4 were destroyed.   The mech is still produced, although only sparsley.   Although its future is most likley grim, scientists are working on improving its efficiancy, and a planned MKII variant has been speculated.   Still awaiting further funding, the project will not likley go through.
