The SLG-1SW Slingshot was designed to be one of 
the most cost effective Artillery/Support 'Mechs on the 
market, and it serves its role quite well.  While many 
commanders may scoff at the idea of a Medium artillery 
support 'Mech, the Slingshot has proven itself on the 
battlefield enough that it is slowly gaining a grudging 
respect.

Although its 3 Medium Lasers give it decent 
short-/medium- range firepower, its primary weapon is the 
massive Arrow IV system mounted in the left torso.  The 4 
tons of Arrow IV ammunition it carries can allow it to 
decimate an enemy force before they ever get close 
enough to become a problem, and its 10 tons of armor and 
200-class engine give it the protection and speed 
necessary to get away from the close-range encounters 
that are the bane of fire-support 'Mechs everywhere.
