The DMI-D3 Domino is a upgrade from the DMI-D2 which
recieved poor reviews. It is considered a superior mech. It
is obviously designed for short range fighting with its
reliance on short range weaponry plus the use of hands in
both arms.
Capabilities:
While the heat produced by this new design is much
greater that the previous, the increase in damage potential
is well worth the price. With 22 heat sinks, the Domino
can fire all of its laser weaponry at once without
overheating. If every one of the Lasers hits, the
cumulative force is enough to knock over a battlemech.
Plus the SRM-6s Give the Domino a fearsome short range
punch. In close range, an overheating mech has the
option of physical attacks rather than firing its weapons,
thus increasing its versetility. While the presence of
ammunition for the SRMs presents a risk of ammo
explosion, the bonus of a striking power vs heat, allows
the pilot some concessions during a firefight. with a top
speed of 64.8 kilometers per hour, the Domino isnt too
slow for the job.
Deployment:
The DMI-D3 Domino is produced by GM under special
contract by the federated commonwealth. And while they
hold the largest stores of Dominos they hold a monopoly
on the design allowing them to sell it at higher than
wholesale prices to other intrested parties.
