The DMI-D2 Domino has recieved poor reviews ever
since its compleation. The mech's performance in actual
combat situations has varied greatly. In some cases it
deals devestating defeat to its opponents, while in others it
suffers horrible loss.
Capabilities:
The Twin Mydron Model C Autocannons give the
Domino solid long range hitting power. Critics claim
that the AC/5s arent powerful enough for to be used
in combat against heavy mechs. but if enemy mechs want
to sit back and fire from long range the Domino is more
than capable of returning the favor. If a short range
engagement is possible the domino can slowly and
steadily advance bringing the SRM-6s to bear. Giving the
Domino a fearsome short range punch. In close range the
mech has the option of physical attacks as well as firing its
weapons, thus increasing its versetility. While the
presence of ammunition for the SRMs presents a risk of
ammo explosion, the bonus of a striking power vs heat,
allows the pilot some concessions during a firefight. with a
top speed of 64.8 kilometers per hour, the Domino isnt too
slow for the job. when faced with the threat of infantry,
the token ChisComp 32 Small Laser can be brought
effectivly into use.
Deployment:
The DMI-D2 Domino is produced by GM under special
contract by the federated commonwealth. And while they
hold the largest stores of Dominos they hold a monopoly
on the design allowing them to sell it at higher than
wholesale prices to other intrested parties.
