The Lyran Alliance has made some improements to 
some mechs, and they ahve made some brand new 
one's . The Arbalest is one of their most promising  new 
mechs.

  The Arbalest was built mainly for the purpose of slugging 
it out at long range, but make no mistake, it can close with 
those 4 medium pulse lasers and do some damage. The 
unit's Guass Rifle was downgraded to a Light Guass Rifle 
so that they could make the LRM15 and LRM20 and add 
another Pulse laser. and while it slackens some fo the 
Guass's  punch, it gets alot of help out of that LRM20 to 
help dish it out at long range. The 4 Medium Pulse Lasers 
are for short range defense should anything make it past 
the Light Guass rifle and LRM20.

   The Arbalest has some drawbacks though. It has some 
problems with overheating, and therefore pilots 
sometimes choose to take off a pulse laser and add 
another heatsink. Another problem is that the mech must 
get in close to other mechs once its LRM20 and Light 
Guass Rifle run out of ammunition. while the 4 medium 
pulse lasers found on it are not to be taken lightly, most 
warrriors will want to retreat once they fire their last round 
of ammo...
   This mech has not yet reached full deployment, as it is 
still in the latter stages of testing...
